scary day...

well riley and i had some excitement today (if you can call it that).  she woke up and i could tell she wasn't feeling good..she felt a little warm, was really somber, and just wanted to be held (which she only does when she doesn't feel good). i thought maybe she was just teething, but went ahead and took her to the doctor because she was acting so strange.  in the waiting room we were interacting back and forth when all of a sudden she leaned forward, got this gazed over look in her eyes and stopped repsonding to me.  she was like that for about 15 seconds or so....it really freaked me out.  once we got back the nurse took her temp and it was 103.9!!  thankfully her blood work and tests came back okay.  they were running a few more and would call if there was anything wrong.  we haven't heard anything so we're taking that as good news.  the doctor thinks it must have just been a virus that caused her temperature to spike like that.  we've been relaxing at home now and her temperature is starting to drop and she's starting to act more like herself.  so it was a scary day, but looks like its going to end up being okay...and since she's starting to feel better, i'll go ahead and admit that i hate when she's sick, but i've really loved having her cuddle up with me all day. :)
