Let's try blogging!

Well, I stumbled across this blog tonight.  Honestly, I had completely forgotten about it.  It really is such a great way to keep everyone updated with what's been going on so I'm going to give it another shot.

Soooo, for a 2 minute update.

 
• Riley is in KINDERGARTEN! When did this happen?!?!  She's loving it and learning so much! She's our expert reader and gets better and better every day.  She has enjoyed being a "big girl" and she never ceases to amaze me with how smart she is.  More importantly she still has that sweet, caring spirit and is such a joy to be around.  She is seriously one of the sweetest kids I've ever met and Darren and I couldn't be more proud of her. 
• Reagan is 2.  She's stubborn, feisty, and AWESOME.  She knows what she wants and how to get it.  I love her personality.  She's hilarious and an excellent cuddler.  The day isn't complete if Reagan hasn't cried for her mama (she's a big-time mama's girl!) or made someone smile with her infectious laugh. 
• Darren has been getting into camping/hiking/outdoorsy stuff.  He drug me into a hiking adventure this past July (to celebrate our anniversary -- I was expecting the Four Seasons!) and it actually turned out to be a good time.  In retrospect it was a little more dangerous than I had anticipated, which freaks me out a little, but we made it out safely and had a great time.  We hiked through several trails at Buffalo River National Park in Arkansas.  I've attached some pictures of our fun.  Beyond that, Darren continues to pursue his adventures.  Next up is a trip to North Africa to hike the Atlas Mountains.  Darren leaves in January and I know he is incredibly excited for the trip.  I'll be sure to update with a recap of his adventures. 
• Since my last post I've changed jobs.  I'm now an Account Manager with Accenture Duck Creek.  What is that you ask?  Basically, I work for an insurance software company and work directly with our customers through the lifecycle of using our product.  I really enjoy the job and am excited about the doors that are opening through it.

Sooooo, that's the 2 minute recap for my update.  One thing I forgot to mention was that we went to Disney World this year!  It was an amazing time and the girls had a blast.  It was priceless and a memory that I will never forget!  And lastly, we have a new member of our family.  Sweet little Kona our German Shepherd.  We needed a guard dog and she has been a wonderful addition to the family.  Pictures attached!
